Type XXI Chronograph

Ref: 3817ST/X2/3ZU
The Type XXI chronograph salutes the partnership between Breguet and aviation that began with the conquest of the skies. Louis Breguet, descendant of our founder, was one of the great pioneers of aircraft design, and the Breguet watchmaking firm supplied aeronautical instruments to pilots as early as 1918. Over the years our firm became established as the reference in pilot’s watches, whether worn on the wrist or set into an instrument panel. This reputation is embodied in the legendary Type AcY. The TYPE XX Transatlantique with fly-back function is dedicated to a great moment in the history of air transport. On September 1st 1930, Costes and Bellonte touched down at Curtiss Field, Long Island, having achieved the first nonstop Paris-New York flight. Their time was thirty-seven hours and fourteen minutes… on board the Breguet 19 “Point d’interrogation”. This victory confirmed Louis Breguet’s research into a aircraft’s field of action, and was a decisive stimulus to the development of international air transport.
